OFFICIAL: AC Milan Signs Mario Mandzukic

In a bid to sustain their push for the Serie A crown, AC Milan has signed Former Bayern, Athletico Madrid, and Juventus Star, Mario Mandzukic.

The Club and the Striker have agreed on a deal that runs till the end of the current 2020/21 season. It also provides an option for an extension for a further 12 months.

Club and Country History

Mario Mandzukic was born in Croatia (Slavonski Brod) on May 21, 1986. He started his professional career in 2004 with NK Marsonia before joining NK Zagreb and GNK Dinamo Zagreb.

Mandzukic at Bayern Munich

In the Summer of 2010, he moved to Germany to play for VfL Wolfsburg (60 appearances and 20 goals) and then for Bayern Munich (2012-2014) where he made 88 appearances and scored 48 goals.

Mandzukic at Atletico Madrid

He moved before the 2014/15 season and played for Atletico Madrid scoring 20 goals in 43 appearances before joining Juventus FC.

Mandzukic at Juventus

In his five seasons with Juventus(2015-2019), he made 162 appearances in all competitions and scored 44 goals.

By January 2020, he joined Qatari side Al-Duhail and has 2 goals in 10 appearances.

Mandzukic in Croatian Colours

He is also the second-best scorer ever on the Croatian national team with 33 goals in 89 games (behind Davor Suker at 45).

Mario Mandzukic is well renowned for his aerial prowess. He is a tall forward at 1.90m (6ft 3in) with a great deal of physical strength.

Mandžukić has won 24 trophies including 1 UCL, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 FIFA Cup World Cup, 9 championships, and 12 between national Cups and Super Cups.

Mario Mandzukic will wear the number 9 jersey for AC Milan. He will almost certainly be a great addition to an AC Milan team with an attractive blend of Experience and Youth.
